Job summary

The HR Ally is seeking an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Infrastructure Engineer to join our hybrid Australia-wide team. The role focuses on enterprise PostgreSQL administration, automation, and infrastructure management, with exposure to PEM/EFM and strong security practices.

You will implement HA, backups, migrations, and CI/CD pipelines, while operating in RHEL/OpenShift/VMware environments. This role demands security clearance and delivers a hands-on, results-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL Database Administration experience.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL High Availability, replication, backup and disaster recovery.
• Experience with EDB Postgres Enterprise Manager (PEM) and EDB Failover Manager (EFM).
• Strong experience with Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with RHEL, OpenShift and VMware environments.
• Experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning, troubleshooting and database migrations.
• Knowledge of database security, LDAP/Active Directory, RBAC and TLS.
• Experience with ArgoCD, GitLab, Python and Shell scripting
