Job summary

The Australian Electoral Commission is seeking a Senior Project Officer to drive enrolment policy development, implementation and evaluation, delivering high-quality outcomes across the organisation.

You will work with a collaborative team and key stakeholders, provide clear policy advice, support enrolment processing staff, and contribute to nationally significant enrolment programs while accessing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing sound policy advice and contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of policy within a legislative or regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, high-quality work while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Experience working in a dynamic environment contributing to nationally significant outcomes.

Responsibilities

• The Roll Operations and Silent Cell section is responsible for managing the operations of the Australian electoral roll through the development, implementation and evaluation of enrolment policy and procedures, as well as the centralised processing of silent elector enrolments.
• As a Senior Project Officer, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality outcomes by contributing to the management of the electoral roll through the development, implementation and evaluation of enrolment policy.
• As part of a collaborative and high-performing team, you will contribute to the enrolment program through the delivery of key projects, the provision of clear and practical policy advice, support for staff responsible for enrolment processing, and the development and maintenance of enrolment guidance and doctrine.
• You will be supported by experienced colleagues and have access to professional development opportunities that will help you grow your career within the APS.
