Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of mining and water infrastructure projects in Western Australia. This role requires coordinating with clients, contractors and engineering teams to ensure scope, cost, schedule, safety and quality are managed across the full lifecycle.

You will oversee project controls, procurement, and governance, while driving risk management and stakeholder engagement in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years' experience in project management and major project delivery.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects across mining and water infrastructure.
• Experience working in both client-side and contractor-side environments.
• Strong understanding of major program management environments and multi-project portfolios.
• Proven capability managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, commercial, project controls and construction.
• Experience managing contractor performance, including progress, productivity, safety and contractual compliance.
• Strong project controls capability, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, risk and change management.
• Experience with procurement, contract administration, variations, claims and commercial negotiations.
• Experience managing projects through design, construction, commissioning and operational handover.
• Exposure to brownfield or operational environments will be highly regarded.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of mining and water infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project directors, technical specialists, contractors and clients to ensure alignment with program objectives.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, budgets, schedules, resources and governance.
• Drive contractor performance across safety, productivity, quality and compliance.
• Oversee procurement strategies, contract administration, variations, claims and cost forecasting.
• Provide clear, reliable reporting on cost, schedule, risk and progress to clients and leadership.
• Ensure design integrity, constructability, quality and regulatory compliance throughout delivery.
• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across clients, regulators and partners.
• Coordinate interfaces and shared resources within the broader program portfolio.
