Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Director Level Project Manager in Water Infrastructure, based in NSW, Australia. The role combines leadership, client stewardship and program delivery across design, tendering and construction phases with a strong focus on governance and risk management in a hybrid work environment.

You will oversee multiple projects, manage diverse client and contractor teams, and deliver value through innovative solutions while maintaining safety, schedule, and budget integrity.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in project management.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
• Ideally, experience within the water & wastewater industry.
• Proven client-side experience across multiple sectors, with ability to manage stakeholders and deliver outcomes in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Support clients and manage relationships with consultants, contractors and subcontractors.
• Deliver complex projects and programs ensuring they meet client expectations, timelines, and specifications.
• Manage change, quality, health, safety and risk elements.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects across the lifecycle, including design management, tendering, contract administration, financial management, project scheduling and risk management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-impact results.
