Job summary

Nine Entertainment Co in Sydney seeks a Senior Platform Engineer specializing in Observability, focusing on the Grafana stack to manage monitoring, logging, tracing and profiling for Kubernetes-based apps.

You will implement OpenTelemetry, build dashboards, and automate infrastructure with Terraform and Helm while ensuring multi-tenancy, security, and reliable operations across cloud and on‑prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in platform or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on Grafana stack experience (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Mimir).
• Proficient with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenTelemetry instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage observability stack on Kubernetes.
• Implement OpenTelemetry instrumentation in apps and pipelines.
• Ensure monitoring, logging, tracing coverage across microservices.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and incident response workflows.
• Automate observability infra with Terraform and Helm.
• Integrate observability across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Maintain governance, security, and data integrity.
• Mentor teams on instrumentation and RCA practices.
