Job summary

Nine is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer specialising in Observability to own and evolve our Grafana-based observability stack on Kubernetes. You’ll implement instrumentation, dashboards and automated incident workflows across cloud and on‑prem environments.

With 4+ years in platform engineering, you’ll drive open telemetry pipelines, manage Terraform/Helm deployments, and mentor teams in best practices for monitoring and reliability.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in platform engineering or cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on Grafana stack experience including Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Prometheus.
• Kubernetes and containerised applications management.
• OpenTelemetry instrumentation and observability pipelines.
• IaC with Terraform and Helm to provision infrastructure.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree or cloud certifications in related field.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and manage Grafana-based observability stack in Kubernetes.
• Integrate OpenTelemetry instrumentation across services and collectors.
• Ensure comprehensive monitoring, logging and tracing coverage at scale.
• Develop dashboards and incident response workflows with teams.
• Automate observability infrastructure with Terraform, Helm and CI/CD.
• Collaborate across cloud and on‑prem environments and mentor teams.
