Job summary

Immutable is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in Sydney to own and evolve our AWS and Kubernetes foundations. You’ll contribute to development and infrastructure, building self-service tooling and IaC to accelerate product teams. A strong focus on observability, reliability, and on-call discipline will shape daily work.

You’ll work in a Sydney-based team, with a lean, on-call model and a mix of hands-on coding and infrastructure ownership to drive scalable platform improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering with infrastructure and development balance in a fast-growing environment.
• Strong proficiency in Go and AWS-based platforms (EKS) including service ownership.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve AWS and Kubernetes foundations from VPC upwards.
• Develop and release infrastructure-as-code and self-service tooling.
• Define SLOs/SLIs, monitoring and incident response practices.
• Partner with security, product and data teams to support platform needs.
