Job summary

Mornington Peninsula Shire is seeking a Planning professional to support the Statutory Planning team. The role balances robust planning frameworks with community engagement to achieve quality land use outcomes.

Reporting to the Team Leader - Statutory Planning, you will administer the planning scheme, liaise with authorities, and provide high‑quality advice while maintaining records. Applicants should have an undergraduate planning degree and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in town planning or related discipline.
• Experience in a planning related field preferred.
• Knowledge of Planning and Environment Act 1987 and related regulations.
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake relevant planning processes in accordance with regulations.
• Administer the planning scheme and related procedures.
• Engage with the community and provide planning advice.
• Liaise with external authorities and internal units during applications.
• Maintain clear meeting notes for records.
