Job summary

Frankston City Council is seeking a Principal Planner to join the Statutory Planning team in the Development Services Department. You will assess complex development proposals and help adapt service pathways in a changing regulatory environment.

The role requires substantial Victorian planning experience, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven ability to work well in a high-performing team. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Substantial relevant experience in the assessment of planning applications in the Victorian Planning system.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated capability to work as a collaborative member in a high performing team.

Responsibilities

• Assess more complex planning applications in accordance with planning regulations and Council's internal standards.
• Provide high quality customer service.
• Provide support and guidance to less experienced members of the Statutory Planning team.
