Band 5 salary ranges from $82,384.77 to $95,173.89 per year plus superannuation, with a focus on delivering robust planning assessments and strong stakeholder engagement within Victoria's dynamic landscape.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in town planning or related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication to engage stakeholders.
• Ability to apply sound professional judgement within policy frameworks.
• Solid knowledge of planning legislation and council decision processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely and robust assessment of planning applications, coordinating with internal teams, community, and external authorities to achieve coordinated outcomes.
• Provide clear, credible planning advice and demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement for transparent decisions and representation in external forums, including VCAT.
• Embed organisational values in decision making and service delivery, contributing to a high-performing team.
