Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Planners and Senior Planners to join our Engineering Construction team for an upcoming major resources project. The role offers an opportunity to work on large-scale mining and construction initiatives, with mobilisation to a site roster and a transition to our 2:1 site schedule.

We value advanced Primavera P6 skills, strong stakeholder management, and a proven track record in planning complex projects within mining or heavy industry.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Planner or Senior Planner in mining, heavy industry, or major construction.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and project planning methods.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate work scopes, sequencing and resource requirements.
• Liaise with client representatives, project teams and execution personnel.
• Develop planning documentation, schedules, lookaheads and work plans.
• Coordinate labour, equipment and material to support execution.
• Monitor schedule performance and update progress.
• Identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare progress reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
• Support project reviews and continuous improvement.
• Ensure planning activities comply with procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Coordinate work scopes, sequencing and resource requirements across multiple disciplines.
• Liaise with client representatives, project teams and execution personnel to support effective planning and delivery.
• Develop planning documentation, schedules, lookaheads and work plans.
• Coordinate labour, equipment and material requirements to support execution.
• Monitor schedule performance and update progress throughout project delivery.
• Identify schedule risks, constraints and critical path activities, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts and schedule updates for project stakeholders.
• Support project reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all planning activities comply with client procedures, project requirements and Monadelphous safety standards.

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within mining, minerals, heavy industry, oil & gas, construction or major maintenance projects.
• Demonstrated experience planning large-scale projects within a mining, resources or construction environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Experience using SAP or equivalent project and maintenance management systems.
• Strong understanding of project planning methodologies, work management processes and critical path scheduling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project documentation and work scopes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High level organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience leading planning functions on large-scale construction or resource projects is highly desirable.
