Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Planners and Senior Planners to join our Engineering Construction team for an upcoming major resources project in South Australia.

Office-based mobilisation will transition to a 2:1 site roster; you will develop and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6, coordinate scopes and resources, and support delivery with stakeholder engagement and progress reporting.

Qualifications

  • Previous Planner or Senior Planner experience on mining, minerals, heavy industry, oil & gas, construction or major maintenance projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Experience using SAP or similar project/maintenance management systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work scopes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Coordinate work scopes, sequencing and resource requirements across multiple disciplines.
  • Liaise with client representatives, project teams and execution personnel to support planning and delivery.
  • Develop planning documentation, schedules, lookaheads and work plans.
  • Coordinate labour, equipment and material requirements to support execution.
  • Monitor schedule performance and update progress throughout project delivery.
  • Identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare progress reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
  • Support reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure planning activities comply with client procedures and Monadelphous safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Coordinate work scopes, sequencing and resource requirements across multiple disciplines.
  • Liaise with client representatives, project teams and execution personnel to support effective planning and delivery.
  • Develop planning documentation, schedules, lookaheads and work plans.
  • Coordinate labour, equipment and material requirements to support execution.

  • Prepare progress reports, forecasts and schedule updates for project stakeholders.
  • Support project reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all planning activities comply with client procedures, project requirements and Monadelphous safety standards.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within mining, minerals, heavy industry, oil & gas, construction or major maintenance projects.
  • Demonstrated experience planning large-scale projects within a mining, resources or construction environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Experience using SAP or equivalent project and maintenance management systems.
  • Strong understanding of project planning methodologies, work management processes and critical path scheduling.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project documentation and work scopes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience leading planning functions on large-scale construction or resource projects is highly desirable.
