Job summary

AccountAbility is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payrolls across Australia and New Zealand, including projects, upgrades and continuous improvement.

Joining a global, award-winning organisation, you’ll support the Payroll Manager and a small team, contribute to process improvements, system testing and accurate payroll processing with ADP GlobalView or SAP.

Qualifications

• Experience with ADP GlobalView or SAP Payroll is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Awards, EBAs, payroll legislation, tax and superannuation.
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a payroll team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payrolls across Australia and New Zealand.
• End-to-end payroll processing compliant with Awards, EBAs and legislation.
• Assist with system queries, testing and enhancements projects.
• Support payroll and HR teams with payroll systems and process-related queries.
• Month-end reporting including PAYG, Superannuation, Workers Compensation and labour costing reports.
• Maintain employee payroll records and leave entitlements.
• Work closely with Payroll, HR and Finance stakeholders.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and system upgrades.
• Support audit requirements and payroll compliance activities.

THE ROLE

THE PERSON

• Proven end-to-end payroll experience using ADP GlobalView or SAP is essential
• Strong understanding of Awards, EBAs, payroll legislation, tax and superannuation requirements
• Excellent Excel and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
