Job summary

Stellar Recruitment partners with an established mining and resources organisation to recruit a Senior Payroll Officer. You will deliver accurate, timely payroll across multiple EAs and Awards, ensuring compliance while supporting a collaborative payroll team in a fast-paced environment.

You will interpret Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment contracts, handle month-end reporting and salary packaging, and address payroll adjustments and enquiries with a focus on confidentiality and data

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end payroll, high-volume, across multiple agreements.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
• Experience with month-end reporting and payroll compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to reconcile payroll data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience using Pronto will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end, high-volume payroll processing across multiple EAs and Awards.
• Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with legislation and contractual obligations.

• Maintain accurate employee records and handle confidential information.

About the Role

As the Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Enterprise Agreements and Awards.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end, high-volume payroll processing across multiple EAs and Awards.
• Ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and contractual obligations.
• Interpreting Enterprise Agreements, Awards and employment contracts.

• Proven experience managing end-to-end, high-volume payroll, ideally within mining or resources.
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Agreements, Awards and payroll compliance requirements.
• Experience with month-end reporting, statutory obligations and salary packaging.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse and reconcile payroll data.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and process efficiencies.
• A high level of professionalism and discretion when managing confidential information.
• Experience using Pronto will be highly regarded.
