Senior Payroll Implementation Consultant — Remote AU/NZ

Job summary

Dayforce is seeking a PayDay Service Consultant in Australia to drive aPay implementation lifecycle from discovery through post-go-live support. You will design, configure, and document payroll solutions for Dayforce customers, coordinating with Project Managers and client stakeholders.

The role requires 5–7 years in software implementation or payroll/HR systems, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work remotely across Australia and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in a Software Implementation role or 5+ Experience with payroll or related HR systems an advantage; experience with Ascender Pay preferred but not required.
• Experience with software design and implementation, including document writing experience.
• Excellent analytical skills, creative and critical thinking with the ability to make decisions on the job to achieve project outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills (high level of written and verbal) with experience consulting to external clients.
• Organized and able to schedule and prioritize time with the ability to work under pressure and deliver to project deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Document and validate customer business requirements and map them to aPay Dayforce functionality.
• Design and document innovative solutions to address customer business needs.
• Configure aPay Dayforce modules to meet customers documented business requirements.
• Conduct consulting sessions (over the phone and in-person) and document them with meeting minutes.
• Actively participate in customer testing cycles, promptly addressing and resolving any identified issues.
• Attend internal project meetings and provide status updates on the progress of activities and deliverables.
• Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise.
• Serve as a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external users.
