Commonwealth Bank is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to shape end-to-end architecture for domestic, international and high-value payments. You will influence across multiple delivery crews, set architectural direction and ensure secure, scalable patterns align with the Payments strategy.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, security and risk teams to translate strategy into practical designs, drive governance, and promote reusable patterns across platforms.

Formación

• Senior architecture capability and technical judgment.
• Experience in payments, ideally in a large financial institution.
• Experience across Australian domestic payments, international payments, RTGS and high-value ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of ISO 20022 and end-to-end payment lifecycles.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex payment initiatives across multiple crews.
• Shape Payments domain architecture and translate strategic direction into practical solution designs.
• Establish and promote reusable architecture patterns, guardrails and API standards.
• Guide engineering and delivery teams to apply architecture standards consistently while trade‑offs across cost, risk, resilience and delivery.
• Design secure, scalable and highly available solutions meeting resilience and regulatory expectations.
• Own significant architecture decisions from concept through delivery.
• Engage with engineers and leads, translate architecture into implementable patterns.
• Design for operability, observability, recoverability and production resilience.
• Identify opportunities for generative AI across the Payments tech landscape.
• Produce architecture artefacts and drive governance decisions.
