Job summary

Charterhouse is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect in Sydney for a 6‑month renewable contract. You will define high‑level designs, ensure stakeholder endorsement, and drive architecture governance across banking initiatives.

The role requires collaboration with analysts to translate business requirements into enterprise‑aligned designs for cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments. Ideal candidates bring strong TB architecture experience, familiarity with SWIFT/NPP/FSS, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Strong solution architecture background across complex enterprise environments.
• Banking/payments experience with SWIFT, NPP or FSS is preferred.
• Architecture governance aligned to COBIT 2019 / ISO 27001.
• Experience with cloud, on‑premise and hybrid architectures.
• Automation tooling and CI/CD environments (Terraform, Puppet, vRA, Packer; Azure DevOps, GitLab, Artifactory).
• Certificate lifecycle/security tooling such as Venafi or HashiCorp Vault.
• Proven ability to navigate complex design decisions and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define solutions architectures and high‑level designs for initiatives/systems in the Bank.
• Own architecture deliverables and secure stakeholder endorsement.
• Collaborate with analysts to map business requirements to high‑level designs within enterprise patterns.
• Work with project managers to scope initiatives per architectural objectives.
