Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Limited in Australia (Perth) seeks a Senior Specialist Paste Fill to provide end-to-end technical expertise across underground paste fill systems. Role includes travel to global operations, with potential moves between Perth, Johannesburg or Denver and work across multiple countries.

The role reports to the Director: Underground Mining and requires deep paste fill knowledge, strong problem-solving, and leadership with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mining across paste fill plant operations.
• Strong analytical capability to troubleshoot disruptions.
• Advanced skills in paste fill design optimization and QA/QC.
• Experience with paste fill automation and control systems.
• Commercial acumen including financial reporting and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and technical knowledge for paste fill planning and operations.
• Advise on implementing and optimizing the paste fill value chain from surface plant to underground placement.
• Collaborate with business units on Life of Mine paste fill strategies.
• Develop paste fill projects, identify opportunities, troubleshoot bottlenecks and coach engineers.
• Investigate opportunities through mining technologies and oversee trials as required.
• Maintain and monitor compliance with policies, guidelines and standards.
