Bayside Council in Sydney, NSW invites a qualified Mechanic to join our SOT – Fleet Maintenance team. Based at the Bexley and Botany depots, you will diagnose faults and service a diverse fleet, from whipper snippers to large sweepers, ensuring safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified and licensed mechanic with heavy vehicle preference.
• Ability to fault find and repair hydraulic, diesel and electrical systems.
• SafeWork NSW white card required.
• Team player with a can-do attitude.
• MR/HR driving licence preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and service/repair plant, vehicle and equipment.
• Work across Bayside Council's fleet at Bexley and Botany workshops.
• Service a range from small tools to large sweepers and trucks.

Location : Bayside Council, Sydney, NSW, Australia

Mechanic – SOT – Fleet Maintenance

• Work locally and enjoy a 9-day fortnight, great working hours and outstanding leave conditions
• Full-time permanent position, up to $1576 per week plus 12% superannuation
• The role will be span across both our Bexley and Botany workshops

About the role

Based at Council’s Bexley and Botany Depot, this role performs fault diagnoses and plant, vehicle and equipment servicing and repairs to ensure that Council’s plant fleet is safe, fit for purpose and operating at optimum efficiency.

This role works within our team of Mechanics who are fortunate enough to work across the broad range of vehicles and equipment Bayside Council owns and operates.

No two days are the same as you will service everything from whipper snippers to passenger vehicles to large mechanical sweeper trucks.

About you

• Qualified and Licenced Mechanic – preferably heavy vehicle.
• Ability to fault find and repair hydraulic, diesel and electrical components.
• SafeWork NSW white card (general construction induction card).
• Proven team player with a “can do” attitude.
• MR / HR Drivers’ Licence preferred or willingness to obtain.

Salary Range

From $73,423 - $82,234 pa + 12% superannuation
