Cowra Shire Council is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our Infrastructure and Operations team in Cowra, NSW. Cowra Council is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our Infrastructure and Operations team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the servicing, diagnosis, maintenance and repair of Council’s diverse fleet including heavy vehicles, light vehicles, plant, small plant and equipment.
You will diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine faults, carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, and ensure Council’s vehicles, plant and equipment are safe, roadworthy, compliant and fit for purpose.
Working as part of a skilled and supportive team, you will contribute to the reliable day-to-day operation of Council’s fleet. You will also work with internal staff and external suppliers where required to support effective servicing, repairs and parts procurement.
