Job summary

Qualifications

• Significant management experience within conferences, events, banqueting or large-scale hospitality operations.
• Strong people leader with demonstrated experience building capability, developing talent and creating high-performing teams.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to balance guest experience, revenue opportunities, costs and operational outcomes.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across diverse teams.
• A client-focused and solutions-driven mindset, with the confidence to explore creative and bespoke approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of conferences, banquets and events, ensuring exceptional service and execution.
• Partner with sales, kitchens and key stakeholders to develop bespoke, commercially sustainable event solutions.
• Contribute operational expertise to client proposals, tenders, tastings and event planning, helping turn opportunities into successful experiences.
• Lead and develop a large and complex team, building leadership capability, developing talent and strengthening succession planning.
• Drive commercial performance through effective budgeting, labour management and decision-making, balancing event objectives with profitability and delivery standards.
• Champion continuous improvement by challenging established ways of working, capturing client feedback and identifying opportunities to deliver a best-in-class events experience.
