Slattery Grays Auctions is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our site operations end-to-end at Hexham NSW, overseeing auctions, logistics, client relationships, safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven people leadership with a calm, confident approach and sound judgement.
• Operations management experience, ideally in auctions, industrial or logistics.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver auctions: Plan and run all scheduled industrial and general equipment auctions, online and onsite with Sales and Administration from intake to auction day.
• Lead the yard: Direct the yard team to meet deadlines and KPIs consistently.
• Maximise results: Develop remarketing strategies to maximise asset value and coordinate with Marketing on campaigns.
• Own client relationships: Manage clients and vendors end-to-end, including proposals, agency agreements, reserves and reporting.
• Value assets: Support auction estimates and valuations, including off-site where needed.
• Coordinate logistics: Organise transport contractors for client assets.
• Drive buyer engagement: Foster competitive bidding and negotiate outcomes between buyers and vendors.
• Champion safety: Lead safety meetings and ensure WHS compliance.
