AtkinsRéalis in Australia seeks a Senior or Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer to lead safety-case work for defence projects from Adelaide or Sydney. You will guide safety-case strategy and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

The role offers growth within a global engineering group, with opportunities to shape safety-critical design, produce safety reports, and mentor safety case teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in safety, ideally within defence and nuclear domains.
• Willing to obtain Australian Government security clearance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of Australian government defence ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Shape the nuclear safety case strategy.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions.
• Contribute to complex proposals and pursue new business opportunities.
• Provide engineering support for defence platforms and infrastructure.
• Forecast, monitor, and report engineering performance; mitigate risks.
• Work with project partners to ensure safety-informed design.
• Undertake safety assessments and analyses.
• Produce safety reports and other technical documents.
• Manage and lead Safety Case activities and teams.
