Job summary

Senior or Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer at AtkinsRéalis to drive safety case leadership for major defence projects in Australia. Based in Adelaide or Sydney, you will guide safety strategies and collaborate with a global team to deliver robust engineering solutions.

You will work with customers, develop proposals, perform safety analyses and manage safety case activities, while advancing your career in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in safety, ideally defence and nuclear domains.
• Eligible to obtain Australian Government security clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Shape the nuclear safety case strategy.
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions.
• Contribute to development of complex project proposals and expand scope.
• Provide engineering support for design, construction and maintenance of defence platforms and infrastructure.
• Forecast, monitor and report engineering performance and mitigate risks.
• Work with project partners to ensure a safety-informed design.
• Undertaking safety assessments and safety analyses.
• Producing safety reports and other technical documents.
• Managing and leading Safety Case activities and teams.
