Job summary

Optus is seeking a Senior Network Engineer within Optus Enterprise Professional Services to design, implement, and support complex enterprise networking, security, wireless and IP telephony solutions for customers. You will lead delivery, mentor engineers, and work with sales to drive successful outcomes.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, Cisco expertise, and industry certifications; flexibility for travel and after-hours work is expected. Hybrid office/remote options available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing implementing and supporting enterprise networking, security and unified communications.
• Technical lead experience delivering complex customer projects with consultancy.
• Strong Cisco networking expertise: routing, switching, MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, IPv4/IPv6.
• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE (CCIP/CCVP or equivalent) preferred.
• Excellent customer engagement and communication; pre-sales involvement.
• Analytical problem solving; ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Commercial awareness and ability to support project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support complex enterprise networking and security solutions.
• Lead technical delivery across project lifecycles from scoping to testing.
• Engage with customers, project teams and executives to ensure outcomes.
• Support pre-sales with scoping, reviews and proposals.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote best practices.
• Drive improvements through certifications and knowledge sharing.
