Job summary

Leidos Australia is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to Gibbs & Cox Australia projects. You will provide engineering expertise, review Deliverables, and coordinate system changes across ship design through the design phase to production, engaging with government and industry stakeholders to influence outcomes.

Essential experience includes maritime project leadership, requirements management, and V&V.

Qualifications

• Essential for this role: maritime/naval project experience.
• Experience in requirements management, engineering change management or verification and validation (V&V).
• Strong technical judgement and communication; ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise, assurance and advice by reviewing deliverables, plans and outcomes and advise senior stakeholders on issues and solutions.
• Coordinate systems change across the ship design, including data management and change management through design and into production.
• Support requirements, engineering change and technical risk management, assessing design and production issues and compliance with technical requirements.
• Support design integration through verification and validation, enabling programme delivery while meeting engineering requirements.
• Engage with Commonwealth, Navy and industry stakeholders to influence outcomes and support project decisions.
