Leidos Australia is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to contribute to naval projects within the Gibbs & Cox Australia team. The role focuses on delivering engineering outcomes, overseeing technical assurance and coordinating system changes from design through to production.

You will engage with Commonwealth, Navy and industry stakeholders, applying rigorous V&V, risk assessment and strong technical judgement to influence project decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong systems engineering capability in complex programmes.
• Experience in requirements management and engineering change management.
• Understanding of ship design, build and operations.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to stakeholders.
• Capacity to operate in a Defence environment with limited guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise, assurance and advice on technical deliverables.
• Coordinate systems change across the ship design to production.
• Support requirements, engineering change and technical risk management.
• Assist design integration through verification and validation.
• Engage with Commonwealth, Navy and industry stakeholders.
