Job summary

Xero’s mobile engineering team is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineer to shape and build the Xero Accounting App, our flagship mobile experience used by small businesses worldwide. You’ll work across iOS and Android with deep native expertise and help steer the transition toward React Native.

This is a hands‑on role with ownership—from idea to production to ongoing optimization—partnering with Product, Design, backend and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shipping production mobile apps on iOS and Android.
• Strong knowledge of mobile performance, release processes and observability.
• Interest in React Native and architecture evolution.
• Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to code reviews.
• Experience with AI-assisted development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ship meaningful mobile features end to end.

• Contribute to architectural decisions for React Native adoption.
