Job summary

Xero is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to shape and build the Xero Accounting App, our flagship mobile experience used by small businesses worldwide. You will help evolve our mobile stack toward React Native while bringing deep iOS/Android native expertise to drive performance and quality.

In this hands-on role you’ll own features end-to-end, mentor teammates, and influence architecture, APIs and data flows as we scale.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and shipping production mobile apps with Swift or Kotlin.
• Strong native platform knowledge, performance, release practices and user experience.
• Curiosity and drive to grow React Native capability during platform evolution.

Responsibilities

• Own complex mobile features end-to-end from design through release and operation.
• Mentor engineers, review code and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, backend and platform teams to scale mobile experiences.
• Help shape and implement a modern React Native architecture and transition plan.
