Evolution Mining is seeking a Senior Open Pit Mine Engineer to shape and optimise medium-term mine plans for Cowal. You’ll work on satellite pits, life-of-mine planning, scenario modelling and strategic mine optimisation, with exposure across the full open pit lifecycle.

Working on a 5:2/4:3 roster, you’ll live locally and collaborate with design, planning and operations to maximise value. Reporting to the Superintendent – Medium Term Planning, you’ll mentor juniors and drive improvements across

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in open pit mine planning or mining studies.
• Strong mine design, scheduling and optimisation capability.
• Advanced Deswik experience, particularly within scheduling and mine planning environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across technical and operational teams.
• Experience within a metals mining environment.
• A proactive and analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and problem solving.

As our Senior Open Pit Mine Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and optimising medium‑term mine plans that directly influence the future performance of Cowal. From new satellite pit developments through to life‑of‑mine optimisation, you'll have the opportunity to see your work translate from design concepts into real operational outcomes.

• Deliver scenario modelling, forecasting and risk analysis that supports key business decisions.
