Job summary

Evolution Mining's Cowal Gold Operations invites a Senior Open Pit Mine Engineer to join our team. You will develop and optimise medium-term mine plans, from satellite pits to life-of-mine strategies, translating design concepts into operational outcomes.

Working a 5:2/4:3 roster on site, you will model scenarios, perform forecasting and risk analysis, and mentor emerging engineers while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in open pit mine planning or mining studies.
• Strong mine design, scheduling and optimisation capability.
• Advanced Deswik experience, particularly within scheduling and mine planning environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across technical and operational teams.
• Experience within a metals mining environment.
• A proactive and analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and problem solving.

As our Senior Open Pit Mine Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and optimising medium-term mine plans that directly influence the future performance of Cowal. From new satellite pit developments through to life-of-mine optimisation, you’ll have the opportunity to see your work translate from design concepts into real operational outcomes.
