Job summary

MACA is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our WA mining team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will lead mine scheduling, planning, and design development to meet client requirements and MACA production targets.

You will mentor site engineers, oversee drill and blast, and contribute to tendering, budgeting and life-of-mine planning, while upholding safety and environmental standards and MACA's values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive open pit mining experience, contractor environment preferred.
• Advanced mine planning and design software skills (Alastri, Vulcan).
• Proven leadership of technical teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine scheduling and short- to medium-term planning.
• Develop and optimise mine designs for accuracy and objectives.
• Provide technical oversight for contract administration, including scope management.
• Mentor and develop Mining Engineers and site personnel.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate drill and blast activities for safe, efficient execution.
• Review drill and blast designs and contractor claims.
• Analyse performance data for continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors and site stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, environmental and quality standards compliance.
