Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a Senior Mine Planning leader to head Planning Engineering across underground operations at St Ives, reporting to the Unit Manager: Technical Services. You will drive comprehensive mine plans and optimise production profiles for the Life of Mine, while collaborating with technical and operational teams to ensure safe, efficient extraction of gold resources.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
Extensive underground mining experience; open pit desirable.
Experience developing operationally ready mine designs and schedules.
Strong leadership to support a multidisciplinary team.
Proficiency in Deswik.CAD, Deswik.Sched, Ventsim and MS Office.
Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive mine plans optimizing gold recovery.
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to improve safety and efficiency.
Review and update plans aligning with annual objectives and LOM strategy.
Monitor KPI's and mining costs to identify improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Provide leadership, mentorship and development for team members.
Communicate regularly with senior management on forecasts and KPIs.
Foster continuous improvement and innovation in planning and production processes.
