Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District, Campbelltown Hospital, is seeking a Midwifery Unit Manager to lead the Postnatal Ward and the Midwifery Support Program. The role centers on ensuring high-quality, person-centred care for mothers and babies within a Level 5 maternity service and complex caseload.

The MUM will drive clinical governance, staff leadership, and service delivery, reporting to the Women’s and Children’s Midwifery Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated senior midwifery experience with leadership of staff and services.
• Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking in unit management and evidence-based midwifery care.

Responsibilities

• Lead a dynamic postnatal ward team and the midwifery support program.
• Ensure standard of patient care across the Postnatal Ward/PNW.
• Coordinate patient care, unit management and leadership within the MUM role.
• Report to the Midwifery Nurse Manager Women’s and Children’s Campbelltown Hospital.
