Job summary

NSW Health in Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital's Maternity Services seeks an experienced leader to provide strategic and operational leadership across midwifery. The role ensures delivery of safe, evidence-based maternity care and oversees a dedicated team of midwives and maternity staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, roster management systems and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

• Registered Midwife-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) AND Relevant management tertiary qualification OR equivalent work experience, OR a combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment .
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a clinical team.
• Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Applications, roster management systems and electronic medical records.
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
• Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement.
