Job summary

u&u Recruitment Partners is partnering with a large Queensland Government department for a major Microsoft 365 transformation. We seek a Senior Technical Specialist – Data Migration to lead school data migrations into a modern Microsoft 365 environment.

You will plan, coordinate and execute migrations, building repeatable processes and automation for large-scale delivery across multiple waves and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale Microsoft 365 migrations.
• Hands-on with migration tools: ShareGate, SharePoint Migration Manager.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.
• Experience migrating data from on-premises to Microsoft 365.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Graph APIs.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Ability to produce migration reports and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver data migration activities across multiple schools and waves.
• Conduct migration assessments, identify risks and resolve data quality issues.
• Configure and administer migration tools such as ShareGate and SPM.
• Monitor migrations, troubleshoot failures and permissions.
• Perform migration validation and data integrity checks.
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate migration tasks.
• Utilise Graph APIs for reporting and automation.
• Produce migration reports, dashboards and runbooks.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders for success.
