Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent: Engineering MEM to join Dawson Mine on a 6‑month fixed‑term basis. Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will oversee MEM statutory responsibilities and lead maintenance strategy development to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective equipment performance across the site.

Qualifications

• Master of Engineering Management or equivalent.
• Engineer with relevant Practicing Certificate for MEM desirable.
• RPEQ accreditation desirable; RCA knowledge advantageous.
• Experience with RCA methodology and safety compliance in mining.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of strategic mechanical engineering initiatives.
• Act as Statutory Mechanical Engineer, ensuring SHMS compliance and standards.
• Represent mechanical in planning, LOm, and risk assessments.
• Approve mechanical inputs into LOM equipment strategies and maintenance plans.
• Provide leadership for mechanical input to capital planning and asset forecasts.
• Govern design reviews and ensure regulatory compliance for mechanical systems.
• Oversee maintenance procedures, calibration, and component rebuilds.
