Job summary

Anglo American’s Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD, seeks an experienced HV Electrician to join the maintenance team. You will ensure availability, reliability and performance of mining electrical systems, delivering on preventative maintenance and planned work to support production targets.

The role requires a QLD Electrical License, trade certification and PLC knowledge, with SAP familiarity and additional tickets advantageous.

Qualifications

Must hold a QLD Electrical License and relevant Electrical Trade Certification.
Manual C-Class Australian Driver’s License required.
Experience with PLC controlled equipment and systems desired.
HV Switching qualification is desirable.
Komatsu 830E/930E experience highly regarded.
SAP maintenance systems knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of heavy mobile equipment.
Provide reliable maintenance knowledge to minimise downtime of mining equipment.
Adhere to task instructions and procedures during maintenance tasks.
Maintain high housekeeping standards and accurate record keeping.
Electrical inspections of open-cut equipment and electrical systems.
Diagnose faults and effect repairs on electrical equipment and field devices.
Perform Testing & Tagging of electrical gear.
Carrying out electrical isolations/lockouts per SHMS procedures.
Ensure compliance with statutory safety inspections and testing.
