Job summary

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in regional Victoria to provide site supervision and coordination within Brownfield SMP Projects and Maintenance SIB environment from September.

The Senior Construction Supervisor will supervise multi-discipline activities (Structural, Mechanical, Piping) and ensure works meet the Project Execution Plan, quality specifications and safety targets. Full work rights in Australia required.

Qualifications

• It is essential to hold relevant technical/trade or degree qualifications in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation or Piping.
• It is essential to have a Construction White Card and a current Driver's Licence.
• Experience 10–15 years in Oil & Gas facilities construction supervision or field engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide site supervision/coordination for multi-discipline activities (Structural, Mechanical, Piping).
• Ensure works comply with the Project/Construction Execution Plan, Scope of Work and Quality Specs.
• Support pre-construction reviews, planning and model reviews.
• Possibly self-perform activities under Project Manager direction.
• Coordinate on-site activities with direct Wood and Contractors to optimize execution schedule.
• Supervise Wood and contractor personnel to meet targets on safety, quality, operability and cost.
• Assist in development/approval of Scopes of Work and Work Method Statements.
• Manage on-site interfaces with Client and other stakeholders.

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in regional Victoria to provide site supervision and coordination within Brownfield SMP Projects and Maintenance SIB (Stay in business) environment from September.

The Senior Construction Supervisor will provide supervision / assurance of multi discipline (Structural, Mechanical, Piping) activities executed by Contractors on the On-Plot Facilities to confirm that works are performed in accordance with the Project/Construction Execution Plan / Scope of Work / Quality Specified and Overall Project Objectives.

Scope of Work

• To support the Site Delivery across Projects and Maintenance Scopes.
• To manage works to the highest level of safety (Target Zero) and environmental requirements
• To manage works to the specified quality, constructability, operability and cost effectiveness targets
• Pre-Construction input into Constructability Reviews, Planning and Model Reviews
• In some cases, self-perform activities under direction of the Project Manager.
• Coordinating on site activities with Direct Wood and Contractors in the optimization of the execution schedule
• Supervise direct Wood and contractor personnel, in achieving agreed targets
• Support the development and approval of Scopes of Work and Work Method Statements
• Support on-site interfaces with the Client and other stakeholders.

It is essential that the incumbent hold the following qualifications/certificates:

• Relevant Technical / Trade Qualification and or Degree Qualification (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation and Piping)
• Construction White Card
• Current Drivers Licence

It is essential for the incumbent to demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in the following:

• 10 – 15 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Facilities construction supervisory or field engineering role
• Demonstrated experience in managing contractors in line with a contract
• Demonstrated experience working to Australian Standards and codes
• Ability to understand and effectively articulate Company Standards and performance expectations to contractors and the worksite generally
• Experience in risk mitigation to enable timely project delivery
• Demonstrated experience in Workfront planning and execution management.
• Experience in schedule and cost management
• Ability to understand and manage change effectively
• Demonstrated experience working within a multidisciplinary team
• Project control and reporting systems
• Solid proven knowledge of risk management techniques
• Sound computer skills
