Job summary

Wood is recruiting a dynamic and results-driven Maintenance Contract Manager based in Chinchilla, Queensland, Australia. The role focuses on service delivery across a significant client site in the Surat Basin, leading asset management and maintenance improvements while coordinating electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and third-party support.

You will oversee contract governance, safety leadership, and resourcing, delivering outcomes through structured plans and robust cost/schedule/risk

Qualifications

• Professional qualification or equivalent in energy/industrial sector.
• 10+ years direct experience in maintenance, turnaround, and minor modification contract management.
• Proven supervisory and admin leadership for project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE leadership across Wood team and align with client expectations.
• Foster solid client relationships across multiple stakeholders and sites.
• Manage Wood maintenance personnel and ensure adherence to Wood processes and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee contract administration: KPI monitoring, risk registers, governance, and reporting.
• Governance and stewardship of all services, with proactive communication to stakeholders.
• Support regional Maintenance Supervisors in work execution planning.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements across managed services.

Wood is recruiting a dynamic and result-driven Maintenance Contract Manager with strong focus on service delivery throughout a significant client site within the Surat Basin of western Queensland.

Based in Chinchilla, this Contract Management role will provide leadership in the implementation of asset management and strategic Maintenance, Turnaround and Minor Modification improvements, and lead, develop and maintain efficient and effective service resources for all electrical, instrumentation, mechanical and third-party support for the client assets throughout the Surat Basin .

You will become part of a team focusedon delivering solutions for our client’s assets across the Surat Basin region.Create delivery excellence across assigned projects / portfolios, provide certainty and confidence to the client, and robust control of project scope, schedule, cost, and risk.

The key objectives for this role are:

• Providing HSE leadership to the Wood team, ensuring both client and Wood expectations for HSE are aligned and achieved
• Foster and establish solid client relationships across multiple stakeholder groups and locations - from senior management, procurement to operational superintendents.
• Management of Wood maintenance personnel across client based operational sites, ensuring that Wood regional management execute work effectively applying applicable Wood processes and regulatory requirements through evidenced based verification
• Overseeing all contract administration, management and support functions, including:
  • KPI monitoring and production
  • Risk register update and review
  • Contract governance, compliance and assurance
  • Management, maintenance and assurance of all contract management plans
  • Contract reporting
• Governance and stewardship of all services delivered by Wood, including proactive management and communication to relevant internal and client stakeholders
• Support regional Maintenance Supervisors in work execution planning
• Promoting and monitoring Wood core values, and alignment with client values ensuring that work is executed and controlled by working in a planned and systematic manner in accordance with the Contract management plans, and subordinate procedures including client requirements
• Ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements of all products and services under management of Wood or their approved subcontractor(s)
• Proactive and effective support the management of site HR / IR, including ability to amicably resolve disputes and support EA negotiations
• Management of resourcing through internal Wood services including recruitment, onboarding, retention, development and performance management
• Ensuring that all Wood personnel are suitably qualified, given clear definition of the working responsibilities, and are fully acquainted with their specific role requirements
• Ensuring that quality requirements are clearly understood and are effective in meeting business objectives
• Recognising and rewarding exceptional performance and encouraging innovative solutions

• Professional qualification Or Equivalent with relevant and considerable experience in the energy industrial sector
• Minimum 10 years of direct experience in Maintenance, Turnaround and Minor Modification contract management.
• Demonstrated supervisory and administration skills necessary to organise and lead a project team, develop design / implementation schedules and provide on-going status reports to the senior management team and clients.
• Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with Client and contractors at all levels.
