Future Generation Joint Venture is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Mechanical to lead end-to-end delivery of potable water, water purification, firefighting, HVAC and lifts systems for Snowy 2.0. You will manage shop drawings, procurements, testing, commissioning and handover, coordinating with electrical, controls, BIM and civil teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Significant experience delivering mechanical systems on major infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing systems from shop drawings through handover.
• Strong knowledge of potable water/water treatment, firefighting, HVAC/ventilation and/or lift systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, schematics and equipment schedules.
• Understanding of multidisciplinary MEP coordination, quality and commissioning processes.
• Experience with BIM/federated models, Aconex or similar document-control systems is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Lead review and coordination of mechanical shop drawings, data sheets and RFIs.
• Ensure compliance with design documents, standards and statutory obligations.
• Coordinate interfaces with electrical, controls, civil, structural and BIM teams.
• Identify design gaps and site constraints before installation.
• Support procurement with technical reviews and long-lead equipment planning.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams during construction.
• Conduct site inspections and verify work to drawings and ITPs.
• Track milestones and elevate programme risks.
• Support variation assessments by confirming scope and quantities.
