Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our NSW Water team, based in Sydney, Newcastle or Canberra. You will lead mechanical design for water infrastructure, oversee pumps/valves and treatment assets, and drive projects from concept through detailed design and delivery.

You will mentor junior engineers, work with clients to build trusted relationships, and contribute to bids and business development while collaborating with interstate teams across VIC, SA, QLD, WA to deliver

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in water infrastructure.
• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or RPEV accreditation; RPEQ is advantageous.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers on multidisciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of water infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical oversight across pumps, valves, pipelines and treatment assets.
• Support projects through full lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
• Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to bids and business development.
• Collaborate with interstate teams to deliver integrated solutions.
