Job summary

WSP in Western Australia is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to lead and contribute across the full project lifecycle for Tier 1 mining clients. You will deliver mechanical packages, provide technical leadership, and collaborate with cross-discipline teams to ensure practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years' mining/industrial experience.
• Strong consulting experience across studies, detailed design and project delivery.
• Knowledge of pipelines, pumping systems, slurry handling and process plant infrastructure.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical engineering packages across studies, design and project execution.
• Provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary mining projects.
• Develop reports, specifications, calculations and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with process, civil, structural, electrical and project delivery teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
• Engage with clients to understand project requirements and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes.
• Support project planning, risk management, cost estimation and engineering governance activities.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of brownfield and sustaining capital projects within operating mining environments.
• Mentor and support developing engineers while contributing to a strong engineering culture.
