WSP is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 8+ years of experience in mining, mineral processing or industrial projects to join our Mining & Metals team. You will lead and contribute to sustaining capital and brownfield projects across iron ore, gold, lithium and base metals, delivering integrated engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years' experience in mining, mineral processing or industrial projects.
• Consulting experience across studies, detailed design and project delivery.
• Experience delivering sustaining capital projects.
• Knowledge of pipelines, pumping systems, slurry handling and process plant infra.
• Exposure to materials handling systems, process equipment and piping design.
• Procurement, vendor management and construction support awareness.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Chartered status or progress toward Chartership is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical engineering packages across studies, design and project execution phases.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise on multidisciplinary mining projects.
• Develop engineering deliverables including reports, specifications, calculations and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with process, civil, structural, electrical and project delivery teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose outcomes.
• Support project planning, risk management, cost estimation and governance activities.
• Contribute to brownfield and sustaining capital projects within operating mining environments.
• Mentor and support developing engineers while contributing to a strong engineering culture.
