Job summary

Lycopodium is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team. You will deliver accurate, professional mechanical design input, ensure drawings meet design intent, and comply with project and regulatory standards as part of a global engineering group.

You will bring a mechanical engineering qualification and at least 8 years' post-graduate mineral processing experience, plus strong stakeholder and communication skills, to drive safe, reliable deliverables across large projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' postgraduate experience in Mineral Processing in a mechanical capacity.
• Strong stakeholder relationship building with Clients, vendors and co-workers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide design input for mechanical drawings and deliverables.
• Review project mechanical drawings for compliance with design intent.
• Perform engineering design and calculations per project, client and regulatory standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes.
• Identify scope variations and prepare relevant documentation.
• Ensure correctly specified equipment is sourced to meet project deliverables.
