Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent.
• Minimum 8 year’s post graduate experience in Mineral Processing in a mechanical capacity.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Solid technical aptitude with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Providing proficient and accurate design input for mechanical drawings.
• Reviewing project mechanical drawings to ensure design intent compliance.
• Performing engineering design and calculations per standards.
• Interpreting drawings, documents and scopes.
• Identifying scope variations and preparing documentation.
• Ensuring equipment is correctly specified to meet deliverables.

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineers to join our growing engineering team in Brisbane.

Reporting to the Group Manager - Engineering, the Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for producing proficient and accurate design outputs that are fit for purpose and in alignment with Project and Study requirements.

The tasks you'll perform

• Providing proficient and accurate design input for the production of mechanical drawings;
• Conducting timely reviews of Project mechanical drawings to achieve full compliance with design intent;
• Performing accurate engineering design and calculations in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards;
• Interpreting engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes;
• Identifying scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly;
• Ensuring correctly specified equipment is sourced to meet project deliverables.
  
  

The expertise you'll bring

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent
• Minimum 8 year’s post graduate experience in Mineral Processing in a mechanical capacity (desired)
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including Clients, vendors and co-workers
• Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge across a broad range of disciplines
• Proven time management and organisational skills
