Lycopodium Limited in Brisbane seeks a Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer to drive design outputs and ensure alignment with project and study requirements. Reporting to the Group Manager - Engineering, you will contribute across large projects, delivering accurate mechanical design and calculations for global engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent.
• Minimum 8 year’s post graduate experience in Mineral Processing (desirable).
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with Clients, vendors and co-workers.
• Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and broad disciplinary knowledge.
• Proven time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Providing proficient and accurate design input for the production of mechanical drawings.
• Conducting timely reviews of Project mechanical drawings to achieve full compliance with design intent.
• Performing accurate engineering design and calculations in accordance with Project, Client and regulatory standards.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, documents, specifications and scopes.
• Identifying scope variations and prepare relevant documentation accordingly.
• Ensuring correctly specified equipment is sourced to meet project deliverables.

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineers to join our growing engineering team in Brisbane.

Reporting to the Group Manager - Engineering, the Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for producing proficient and accurate design outputs that are fit for purpose and in alignment with Project and Study requirements.

The expertise you'll bring

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent
• Minimum 8 year’s post graduate experience in Mineral Processing in a mechanical capacity (desired)
• Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including Clients, vendors and co-workers
• Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge across a broad range of disciplines
• Proven time management and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
