Job summary

Lycopodium is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Perth team. You will deliver accurate, compliant mechanical design deliverables and lead project input across mechanical drawings and calculations.

Reporting to the Group Manager - Engineering, the role requires strong stakeholder management, technical proficiency and a proactive attitude to ensure project success in mining and processing sectors.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or the equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years post graduate experience in Mineral Processing in a mechanical capacity.
• Strong ability to build and sustain positive relationships with clients, vendors and colleagues.
• Solid technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and broad disciplinary knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Providing design input for production of mechanical drawings.
• Reviewing Project mechanical drawings for compliance with design intent.
• Performing engineering design and calculations per standards.
• Interpreting drawings, documents, specs and scopes.
• Identifying scope variations and preparing related documentation.
• Ensuring correctly specified equipment is sourced to meet project deliverables.
