Job summary

AirTrunk is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the North Sydney team and support global project pipelines. You will be responsible for mechanical input from concept through IFC, ensuring designs meet AirTrunk reference designs and GMS-E standards, while collaborating with design, procurement, and operations teams across regions.

The role emphasizes scalable, safe, repeatable solutions and continuous improvement of OSE products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Typically 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in design, assurance, construction or operations.
• Chartered or professional registration is preferred.
• Strong experience in data centres, industrial infrastructure or high-availability facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk-based mechanical design reviews across stages from concept to IFC.
• Assess designs against reference design, standards and project requirements.
• Provide mechanical guidance to consultants, design management and site teams.
• Develop scalable mechanical solutions across regions and climates.
• Lead continuous improvement of OSE products and global standards.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines and drive value engineering opportunities.
• Mentor engineers and stakeholders to ensure consistent interpretation of requirements.
