Job summary

AirTrunk is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer based at our North Sydney headquarters to support AirTrunk's global project pipeline and continuously improve mechanical standards, reference designs, and Owner-Supplied Equipment (OSE). You will collaborate across Design, Development, Procurement, Construction, and Operations to deliver scalable, safe mechanical solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience in design, technical assurance, construction, commissioning or operations.
• Strong experience with data centre mechanical systems and safety interfaces.
• Ability to review complex designs and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams across regions and projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design reviews across stages from concept to IFC with clear actions and owners.
• Assess designs against AirTrunk reference designs, GMS-E, and project requirements.
• Provide mechanical guidance to consultants and site teams explaining requirements and intent.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with electrical, civil, structural, and operations teams.
• Develop scalable solutions considering climate, regulations, and supply chain constraints.
• Mentor engineers and promote consistent interpretation of AirTrunk mechanical standards.
